Redesigned the Ripple Effect podcast workflow, creating clear stages and a centralized hub to streamline production and expand the process to new podcasts.
Objective:
To create a streamlined workflow for the Ripple Effect podcast, ensuring smooth production from concept to publishing while maintaining quality and consistency.
Challenges:
The department lacked a clear, unified workflow for producing the Ripple Effect podcast, making it difficult to track progress or know what changes had been made. Team members were navigating multiple tools—Google Docs, Slack, and ClickUp—creating confusion and inefficiency, and there was no centralized system to ensure consistency across recording, editing, graphics, and publishing.
Approach:
I’m developing a streamlined workflow for the Ripple Effect podcast that clearly defines each stage—pre-production, production, post-production, and posting/release—to make it easy to track where we are in the process. We have also started creating a dedicated space in our Project Management tool to centralize all communication and reduce reliance on multiple platforms. What began as my initial workflow for Ripple Effect is now expanding to support the development of new podcasts across the department, establishing a consistent, efficient process for all future productions.
